Schief und dissonant as schief und dissonant can, präsentieren sich die Texaner THE PAPER CHASE auf ihrem dritten Album. Schlimm is das beileibe nicht, sondern eher völlig interessant und cool, wie die Burschen Indi-Rock, Post-Core, Guggemusik, Sub-Pop-Alternative-Stoff, Groove-Rock und dezenten Pomp miteinander paaren. Mir kommen da spontan Bands wie PRIMUS, MR.BUNGLE, AT THE DRIVE-IN, CURSIVE, ...TRAIL OF DEAD, MUDHONEY und COHEED AND CAMBRIA in den Sinn und wenn die Dallas-Boys dann beim eindringlich packenden 'Let´s Be Bad, Henry, Let´s Be Really Bad' gar in RADIOHEAD/COLDPLAY-Pomp-Sphären eintauchen, haben sie endgültig gewonnen. Coole Scheibe für Hinhörer und nicht für Nebenbeikonsumierer.
