Was ist passiert? Warum hält es BENÜMB-Shouter Pete nicht mehr für nötig extremer zu growlen, schreien und gurgeln, sondern beschränkt sich bei den 22 neuen Tracks darauf, nervtötenderweise durchweg einen auf RIGHTEOUS PIGS zu machen? Dieser hohe Brüllgesang ging bei den PIGS schon nur gerade mal so gut und funktioniert auf ’By Means Of Upheaval’ erst recht nicht wirklich. So wird den Noise/Grind-Erruptionen der Bay Area-Burschen ein Gros ihrer Abwechslung vorenthalten, die beim grandiosen Vorgänger ’Withering Strands of Hope’ noch so wunderbar vorherrschte. Es bleibt eine leider schnell nervende, okaye Krachplatte einer Band, von der man viel besseres gewohnt war. Schade!
